STRP Meets Teachers at Houston Conference!

by Carole Allen, Gulf Office Director, Sea Turtle Restoration Project
November 6th, 2010

Texas science teachers can find sea turtle information at the STRP table at the annual Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST) on November 11-13 in Houston. Gulf Office Director Carole Allen and Environmental Science Teacher Al Barr will host a session on tracking sea turtles by satellite in the classroom followed by the new documentary "The Heartbreak Turtle Today."

The George R. Brown Convention Center will welcome nearly 7,000 science teachers who will attend workshops and visit exhibits to find new material and teaching methods. Look for Carole, Al and STRP volunteers at Table #226!

If you are interested in sharing sea turtles and the conservation actions of the Sea Turtle Restoration Project in your classroom, we can help! Send an email to info@seaturtles.org with your specific requests.
